Data Analysis in Earth Science

As a teaching assistant at the University Paris 7 in France during 2008-2011, I was responsible of practical exercices using the tool Matlab for Master students (level 1) in Earth Science. The main topics covered were:

  • Frequency Analysis
  • Statistics
  • Least Square Method
  • General Physics

As a teaching assistant at the University Paris 7 and at the University of Cergy-Pontoise in France during 2008-2013, I was responsible of tutorial and practical exercices for Bachelor students (level 1 and 2) in Physics, Life Science and Medical Science. The main topics covered were:

  • Hydrodynamics
  • Solid and Fluid mechanics
  • Mechanics
  • Electrostatics and Electromagnetism
  • Optics
  • Acoustic waves
  • Astronomy and Celestial Mechanics

I have taught from 2012-2015 at Paris observatory for an online scientific education called Astronomie et Mécanique Céleste. Students can access the lectures and exercices related to a specific topic on the website and I was in charge in correcting and submitting the correction online. Amongst the different topics, I can quote:

  • Distances and Time in the Universe
  • Cosmology
  • Extragalactic astrophyisics
  • From stars to planets
  • Sun, Earth, Moon phenomena
  • Celestial mechanics, time and calenders
  • Sun and heliosphere
